EA Sports College Football 25 is getting so close you can taste it. We are now two months away from the early release date and the hype was amped up even more after the trailer was released on Friday, a trailer that featured a few Michigan football players.

Donovan Edwards is featured the most prominently for Michigan football. It makes sense since the star running back who had two long touchdown runs in the national championship game, is one of the three cover athletes along with Quinn Ewers of Texas and Travis Hunter of Colorado.

Edwards will be featured on the Deluxe and Standard editions of College Football 25. In the trailer released on Friday, the Michigan football running back is shown stiff-arming an Ohio State defender to the ground. He’s also shown at the end holding a trophy.

On the realism scale, that meets the smell test. We can all remember Edwards rushing for 216 yards and two (plus 70-yard touchdown runs) scores against Ohio State back in 2022. He has also routinely delivered in big games. He was the MVP of the Big Ten championship game in 2022 and threw a TD pass in the 2021 Big Ten title game.

There was another clip of Will Johnson, the Michigan football star cornerback, celebrating with fellow defenders. I was hoping to see the Wolverines run out and touch the banner. A bunch of other traditions were shown, but we’ll have to wait a couple of more months to see Michigan’s entrance.

It’s going to be amazing and we can count down the days until we can play as the Wolverines.
